Historic Chattanooga Choo-Choo Renovation
From passenger train to a favorite hotel, the Chattanooga Choo Choo has a long history of servicing travelers to the scenic city. To keep up with the demands of today’s guests, the hotel regularly assesses remodeling needs. Coast 2 Coast has partnered with area architects on several remodel projects. Most recently, laser scanning and modeling services provided an ideal way to analyze the public spaces, operational facilities, and guestrooms and identify crucial areas to refurbish and repair.
FARO Focus3D high definition laser scanners captured point cloud data used to produce a 3D Revit model that included interior, exterior, and site plan elements. Twelve train cars, now guest rooms, and two dining cars were also captured and modeled.
